WDS 2003, Groupe IX : Un Caniche meilleur chien de compagnie à l'exposition canine mondiale de la FCI à Dortmund en Allemagne

Les trois finalistes étaient de tout premier plan. Si le Caniche s’impose, ses deux suivants n’ont en rien démérité et pouvaient également se hisser en tête.

Kudos The Knockout vient de Norvège. Il sort de la sélection de Micke et Monica Nilsson qui ont sorti le Grand Caniche le plus titré dans le monde, Topscore Contradiction ! Mais à Dortmund, Micke présentait un nain, The Knockout, plus connu sous le nom de Tyson, qui appartient à Laila Wirum. Sa lignée paternelle est « 100% Solnes » tandis que du côté maternel, nous retrouvons des cracks comme Härbovi´s Rocko Barocko (heureux mélange de lignées américaines et scandinaves).

Cadaga Civil Action est un Epagneul Nain Continental (Papillon) handlé par le vainqueur du Best in Show de la Mondiale 1998 à Helsinki. Il appartient à son éleveur John Oulton et le père de Civil Action n’est autre que le célèbre CH Loteki Supernatural Being (sur la CH Clearlake Prima at Cadaga). Depuis début 2003, Civil Action s’est classé dans le Top 15 du Groupe Toy sur le circuit américain avec des Best in Show et de nombreux Groupes à son palmarès. Enfin rappelons que CA s’est distingué en début d’année lors de la Westiminster en remportant le Best of Breed sous les jugements du Dr Harry Smith.

Habituellement, Giuseppe Alessandra, est connu comme l’homme du « Mâtin de Naples » et comme juge « all round » sur les cinq continents. Le voir présenter avec talent un Chihuahua de haut niveau est l’une des images qui resteront de cette finale du Groupe IX. Justement, parlons de son élève, Pancho Villa II Garcia, qui sort de l’élevage mexicain le plus en vue depuis trois ans sur la scène internationale. Beppe Alessandra, qui sélectionne la race sous l’affixe Dell’Albriz (Italie) a la chance d’avoir ce multi-champion considéré comme le Chihuahua le plus titré de l’histoire de la race. Garcia doit repartir en station de monte au Mexique et reviendra en 2004 dans l’élevage Dell’Albriz.

Les résultats sont ceux fournis par les organisateurs du World Dog Show à ce jour. Nous espérons qu’ils seront complétés rapidement.
