From May 12 to September 30, 2001 the Musée d'Aubigny presents an exceptional collection on the topic the Cat and the Artist. More than 200 works of art are taking us to a journey to the world of friendship between men and cats. They were adored and considered as Gods in the Antiquity, hated and burned in the Middle Ages, in the 19th and 20th century they were close to poets and writers. Painters, sculptors, engravers all rendered this subtle and sweet revolution through their works. Even the popular art chose our little fellow friends, which was despised during centuries, as the model of many works.
