An Australian born in the USA and belonging to an Italian? Such is the case of the superb Australian Shepherd which won the Best in Show in Dortmund World Dog Show, in front of 18,176 dogs entered.
In the world of the Australian Shepherds, Propwash means quality. The victory of Propwash Syzygy – an outstanding representative of the breed – placed the Australian Shepherd in the spotlight. A first victory in a World Dog Show for this beautiful herding breed, and undoubtedly not the last. Runner up at the Best In Show was the Greyhound Jet’s Something In The Way U Smile. This dog comes from a Scandinavian selection whose fame is internationally recognised in the world of the Greyhounds. The third dog on the podium belongs to a quite unknown and rare breed of Scottish Terrier… with the exception, of course, of the winner itself, Pennywise Patriot Game, who is already a star in the world of the Dandie Dinmont Terrier. This dog from Italy had already obtained excellent results in Germany, especially the Best In Show at the Bundessiegerzuchtschau, still in Dortmund. This Dandie will for sure stay in the annals of the Westfallen Hallen.
