For those that are not familiar with Kennel Club’s regulation, in order to win the required three CCs to become a champion a Golden has got to beat all the dogs of its sex shown on the day, including the champions. That makes the British title one of the toughest in the world, especially if you consider that the UK is a comparatively small country and top dogs can be shown at every championship show leaving no room for other dogs to get a title.
