During the two days of the Paris Dog Show, the canine team of the Paris Public Transportations Services –RATP – performed several demonstrations, which drew a large audience around the main ring.
One can wonder what’s the relation between the Paris area public transportations and dog fancy. Well, that’s quite easy when you come to think of it, as just like in the airports or in the train stations, there are specialised canine teams at the RATP too, whose functions are quite similar to that of the above mentioned colleagues. Those teams showed during the two days of the show that education, socialisation and efficiency could create a true event right in the middle of a dog show. Even if the main ring is often solely dedicated to more traditional sporting activities, such as Ring, Obedience, Agility, etc.
Here are in pictures the demonstrations realised by the canine teams of the RATP, whose dogs were only Belgian Shepherds of the Malinois variety.
This decision of the organisers to invite the canine team of the RATP was an excellent thing, as it allowed the audience to discover other aspects of their usual and familiar role. The daily demonstrations of the RATP canine teams lasted every time 45 minutes, during which the audience was fully absorbed by what was happening on the main ring.
