Welcome in the north of France, in the town of Le Touquet !
This is our report about "la finale de ring" where the best shepherds (25 malinois and 1 GSD) were in competition for the title. All those dogs are like the formula one in the working dog field. French ring is still one of the hardest program for a working dog !
North of France is not only Le Nord Lille, Roubaix, Tourcoing, but also "la cote d'Opale" in the Pas de Calais department 145 km facing the sea !

After Lille in 1968 (Morgan du Parc de l'Hay) and Villeneuve d'Ascq in 1990 (Artiste du Bois Picot), Le Touquet 2008 is the third French Cup in the north for the french ring.
26 dogs were there during two days with thousands of "fans" in the stadion. 24 Malinois, 1 Tervueren and 1 German Shepherd.
The selection before the final was hard as usual : each competitor must be at 340 points/400 at five different trials before the cup and each time, the qualification Excellent was required. Then, three trials called "pre selectifs" selected the best dogs of each region.
The great winner this year is Udex du Banc des Hermelles, 1st of the cup and first of the Championship !
