This new service provided by Merial Canada is completely free, and represents another step in the efforts undertaken by owners when they lose their pets. Its goal is simple: to allow people who find lost pets to get quickly and easily in touch with the owners.To benefit from this on-line service is a piece of cake: when an owner takes his pet to the vet’s for anti rabies vaccines, he gets a tag with an identification number on it. The number on the pet's tag is then used to enter the site and register the animal. The owner also enters all the useful information and contacts, so that he be warned if someone finds the lost pet. Besides, this service will be very useful when a veterinarian will see an animal enter his office… but without his owner.
