This shepherd is considered as one of the oldest french breed but his modern breeding was not clear before the end of WWII.
One of the first breeder was also a famous Bouvier des Flandres breeder : M Cotté, Kennel De La Bohème. His dogs, around the fiftees, are almost in the genealogy of all the Berger Picards around the world.
This year, the french breed club – Club des Amis du Berger Picard – organised his 25th National Specialty in the heart of Picardy region, where the breed comes from. Discover in our slide show the best picards shown at this championship show.
