This congenital defect is characterized by hyperextensible skin, which becomes excessively wrinkled and tears easily.
- Symptoms: skin tears, causing wide, gapping wounds and trauma-induced hypodermic hematoma. Healing can occur if the wound is sutured, if not a scar forms.
- Treatment: incurable. Avoid wounds and accidents.
