Sine matera pruritus is a neurodermatosis, in other words, a pruritic dermatosis without specific cutaneous lesions.
- Symptoms: pruritis is the only apparent symptom. It is often violent and can be generalized or localized. Affects high-strung breeds (dwarf breeds, terriers) dogs in certain living conditions (instability, confinement, boredom).
- Treatment: anti-itch cream and sedatives in the form of tranquilizers.
