Do you want to know if your dog was a little bored, quite bored or very bored while you were away today?
The third toy manufacturer in Japan, Takara, will put on the market from February 2002 a device able to translate your dog's mood from its barking. A transmitter placed in the dog's collar records the barking and transmits them to the "Bow lingual" receptor, which analyses them and translates them into 6 different emotions.
The "Dog diary" mode draws a report on the spirit of the dog at the end of the day thanks to the data gathered. Thus, when the owner comes back from his/her day's work, he/she can know if the dog was a little, quite or very bored.
The Takara company hopes to sell 200.000 of these devices in Japan only, and is ready to flood the world, but what are the chances of success?
