After Southern France in 2005, the IRO World Championship 2006 will take place this year in Switzerland.
From June the 19th to the 25th, the world best K9 rescue teams will compete in beautiful Graübunden canton in Switzerland, for the 12th International Rescue dog Organisation championship. The IRO was founded in 1993 in Sweden, during the 5th symposium of the federation. Last year’s championship at taken place in French region of Camargue, famous for its wild horses and bulls, by the Mediterranean Sea.
Thanks to serious partners like Royal Canin Switzerland and the Allianz Company, the organisers, the REDOG, know that they have all the trumps in their hands to make of this edition a successful one. The organisers expect nearly 120 teams representing about 20 countries.
The obedience and dexterity trials will take place near the Forum in Ried (Lanquart). Three other sites , St Luzisteig, Trimmis and Chur, located only a few kilometres from the Zentrum, will host the tracking, area search and rescue search trials. Entries are now closed.
