For the first time in its history, the IRO Championships will be held in France, the venue for the 2005 event.
Under the auspices of the Fire Brigade of Paris and the Fire and Rescue Service of l’Hérault (South East France), the 2005 Championships will take place in the Camargue, by the Mediterranean, in a region famed for its fine sandy beaches where the sun shines 300 days of the year.
Royal Canin, whose headquarters are situated in the midst of vines and fields where bulls graze, will be the major sponsor of the Championships and will host an International Convention of Search and Rescue Dogs from its Campus.
Zum ersten Mal in der Geschichte der von der IRO ausgerichteten Weltmeisterschaft für Rettungshunde wird dieses Ereignis 2005 in Frankreich stattfinden. Unter Schirmherrschaft der Pariser Feuerwehr und der Feuerlösch- und Rettungsdienste des Departements Hérault (im Südosten Frankreichs) werden sich die Teilnehmer in der Camargue treffen, einer am Mittelmeer gelegenen Landschaft mit feinen Sandstränden und 300 Sonnentagen im Jahr. Die Marke Royal Canin, deren Firmensitz zwischen den Weinbergen und Stierweiden der Camargue liegt, tritt als Hauptsponsor der Weltmeisterschaft auf und lädt zu einer internationalen Convention für Rettungshunde ein.
