This Sunday 13th of january the 82th edition of the International dog Show (CACIB FCI) took place in Bordeaux. Our reporter, Viviane BASQUINE, was around the Dogue de Bordeaux rings, with two judges, MM Claude Voilet et Christian Jouanchicot. If 2547 dogs were in the catalog, 59 Dogues de Bordeaux were there. One of the largest entry of the day, with the Golden Retrievers, Newfoundland and Bulldog.

Bordeaux is the birthplace of the Dogue de Bordeaux, the “french molosse” very popular around the world for the last ten years. If most of the dogs were from french breeding, some others came from different countries (UK, Spain, ) and most of the winners were foreig dogs. The best of breed was won by the female from UK, KENMILLIX PHONEIX DANCER OF CASCOB (Cascob Excalliber x Flame de Bargefenne) shown by Miss Helen Johnson.
During the finals on the main ring, the breed made a nice presentation of the best DDB of the day. See you there the 18th of january 2009 !
