With over 500 dogs entered, the 2004 edition of the “Boxer World Dog Show” which took place in the Netherlands strengthened the leading part of the tenors of the world selection…
Here are the first impressions about this world event, where many of the greatest kennels were present:- With a quite large number of entries, this edition was an excellent showcase of the Boxer European breeding, at the occasion of the Centenary of the Boxer Club Nederland (1904/2004).
- Indeed, the number of entries – 529 - was quite impressive, despite the fact that the same weekend a Boxer European Championship was organised in Italy.
The Best Boxer of the show was the Spanish fawn bitch, classed first Excellent in the Open Class, Yuhe Desl Salgador (Balu v. Hause Romeo / Ika dels Segadors) born on 03/24/2002. Last year’s winner in Maribor had been the dog Pierce de la Tour Couronnée.
The performances of the stud dog Perico were confirmed on May 29 and 30 in Deurne (Netherlands), as he finished 1st Excellent, in front of several other European tenors, such as Caruso Di Soragna, Pierce de la Tour Couronnée (a fawn stud from a French kennel, currently in the Netherlands at Di Noi Vincere kennel) and Larosso Van Wordanis (issued of today’s most titled Dutch selection).
Let’s underline the individual performances of the French competitors, with several dogs among the four best of their respective classes (Ucayali Du Parfum Des Lavandes, Upnoye De La Petite Bicounosse, Victoria Du Clos De Matisar, Urvic Des Gorges D’Héric, Ugo des Courtillières, Ustang De La Vallée Du Thin, Tarec Des Gueules D’Amour De L’Avison, Sherpa Des Jardins De Passiflore, Tenzing Des Courtillières, Sayan de Talisco, Ravel du Val d’Europe, Tixena des Gorges d’Héric, Telma De Cantelaudette De Quitterie, Shana De Cante Laudette De Quitterie, Rhéa Des Zé De Philoctète, M’ De Sullieu, etc.)
- The jury, made up of Roel. VENEMA (Netherlands), John. HAMBLETON (Marbelton Kennel, UK), Petr. BRETKO (Czech Republic), Paola. WATTEN (Italy), and Maritha. ÖSTLUND-HOLMSTEN (Team Work Kennel, Sweden) provided an international vision of the Boxer selection.
The three largest classes (with 36 entries each) were the young brindle bitch class, with the victory of the Spanish bitch Danae de la Teretta, the young fawn bitch class, with the victory of the Yugoslavian bitch Fila Von Zogobox, and finally the open brindle dog class, with the victory of Jacinto D’Jandilla, here in picture.
The titles of ATIBOX Champions were awarded to 8 dogs of different countries: in the fawn Boxers, Atiboxjugendsieger Posseidon Di Noi Vincere ( Balu V. Hause Romeo Eyes Di Noi Vincere) a young fawn dog born in the Netherlands, Atiboxsieger Best Dog, Kabir Dei Centurioni (Dylan Dei Centurioni X Noria Dei Centurioni) a fawn dog born in Italy; Atiboxjugendsiegerin Fila V. Zogobox (Ypsilon Della Cadormare X Celeste V.
