Despite the controversy surrounding it, hunting is a sport practiced and loved by many and it involves millions of dogs around the world. It is a sport for the dog as well as for the handler in that it requires excellent physical condition, strength of character, determination, and observation in addition to a good hunting dog's keen sense of smell.
