The Mondio-Ring was created by delegations from several American and European countries to become the relay for the existing national programs. Its goal is to provide entertainment for the spectators, to be a game that becomes progressively more difficult for the participants and a competitive sport for trainers and their dogs. Finally, Mondio-Ring trials are designed to highlight a dog's abilities, the quality of its training, its handler's expertise, and its genetic make-up.
