Breed Predispositions, except for hip dysplasia.
The table below provides a summary of the weak points and presumed hereditary defects for dogs from the main large, medium and small breeds, based on the most recent data on hereditary and congenital canine diseases. Some definitions of canine diseases or anomalies are also provided in addition to those mentioned in the chapters on dog diseases. Hip dysplasia is not included in this table as it affects dogs of many breeds and almost every size, though large dogs are the most affected. Reference will be made to the chapter on diseases of the musculoskeletal system.
