History
The smallest of the retrievers comes from the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. He may have been developed by crossing the Chesapeake Bay Retriever with the Golden Retriever. With his fox-like appearance, he tricks curious ducks by luring them toward hunters. The breed was recognized by the FCI in 1982. It is very rare in France.
Description
This very lively, active swimmer with great endurance excels at retrieving duck. Because he is strong-willed and difficult to discipline, he needs rigorous training.
Advice
He needs space and exercise for his well-being, as well as regular brushing and combing.
