Kitten at home

When a young kitten is adopted, its training is limited. The kitten is normally already house broken and generally, the owner needs simply show the kitten the litter box once and the kitten will remember where it is and come back to it systematically. The kitten also learns, for no apparent reason, where the refrigerator and everything else that gives him access food is located! It is more difficult to train a cat not to bother the table and your dishes and food. In fact, it is normal behavior for cats to jump up on the table or the kitchen work space. If you wish to eliminate this behavior, a sharp "no" will suffice. You may accompany that with a sharp sound (snapping your fingers or clapping your hands). If, however, the cat is normally allowed to jump up on the table and to walk on the table, it is extremely difficult to keep it off a table set for guests. All you can do in this case is shut the dining room door!

Giving the cat unrestricted access to all rooms in the house is generally the simplest way to operate. Nevertheless, it is easy to restrict access to the baby's room, although the rules must be established at the right time, in other words, one month before the baby is born.
