The CBEI is one of the biggest breed club in France who managed more thant 20 breeds. His website is actually a model in France.
The CBEI - Club des Bergers de l'Est et Italiens - has just celebrated its 20th birthday. It is one of the French clubs, which gathers the greatest number of breeds, and especially Hungarian breeds such as the Kuvasz, Komondor, Puli, Pumi et Mudi. Indeed, these breeds were at the origin of the creation of the club. But the club was quickly to also gather Polish (Polish Lowland Sheepdog), Russians (Southern Russia Sheepdog, Caucasian Sheepdog and Anatolian Shepherd Dog), Balkan (Sarplaninac, Karst Sheepdog and Croatian Sheepdog) and Slovak (Kuvasz and Czechoslovakian Wolfdog) breeds. The Italian Shepherd dogs soon followed suit, with the Bergamasco and the Maremma Sheepdog. The club consequently had to change its name. Nowadays, the Polish Lowland Sheepdogs have a club of their own, called the Nizinny Club de France, under the supervision of the CBEI.The CBEI has just launched its own Internet website, and under the direction of an Internet pioneer, it offers the standard, which all breed clubs from the SCC - Société Centrale Canine - French Canine Central Society, will adopt in a close future.
