Gil Chamberland has been travelling around the world for 20 years, and he specialised in cats photography in South east Asia (Burma, Thailand, India, Cambodia, Nepal, Tibet, etc.)
He is the author of a book called “The Sacred cats of Asia”. He also did the cover of the famous French magazine Géo, in September 2004, an issue in which many of his photographs were also featured. At the end of the year, he also was involved in two other books, “Au pays des chats” – “in the country of the cats” and “Chats autour du monde” – “Cats around the world”.
Gil’s sister, Laurence, is the president of an animal shelter in the middle of France. Gil therefore took a series of pictures of the cats at the shelter, which will soon be published. The largest part of the sales will be given to the shelter.
