Marie-Pierre François is the lucky owner of a Norwegian female, which is both a queen in the championships and a princess at home.
Nachka du Royaume d'Angmar, a tabby and white torty Norwegian, was born on a 17 July and her parents were IC Skyfrit Felis Jubatus and CH h'Opale Ecaille de la Pendjari. Some friends of mine gave her to me in 1997. I chose her name myself. It was my first purebred cat and I had never thought she could win so many titles, or even induce me in starting a breeding of Norwegian Forest Cats.
In the beginning she was simply a small kitten, who should have kept company to my home cat, Draco. ANd she turned out to be a very beautiful exhibition cat with a splendid and significant career. Nachka is one of the largest Norwegian females that I know: Her best weight is 4.7 kilos. Her legs are long, and she has a strong and long body. She combines an excellent extreme type (a long, straight profile) with a beautiful look and colours. And she has the perfect temperament for a cat show. A she is lovely and playful; it's a real pleasure to exhibit her. Her picture was indeed published twice in a French magazine to illustrate Baltard Show. She had no problem becoming the princess of the house with her charm and refinement, and she sure knows it.So far, I've decided that Nachka had only one litter in 1999. She was mated with FIFE World Champion 1996 Magnus av Fager, and she gave birth to our home stud, Pirate de Laïkolen. He is currently FIFe international champion, and he's already obtained a great number of Best in Shows. We are planning to have a second litter this year with a Swiss stud. But above all, Nachka is the loveliest of all the cats, and kittens deprive me from her cuddles.
